- Do we need a referral to call?
- No. A family member, caregiver, the patient or a doctor's office can call. We work with your loved one's doctor on the certification hospice requires.
- What does hospice cost?
- For people with Medicare Part A who qualify, the Medicare hospice benefit covers hospice care related to the terminal illness, including nursing visits, medicines for pain and symptoms, and medical equipment. There can be a small copay for some prescriptions and for respite care. We review your loved one's coverage with you before care starts.
- What if we need help at night or on a weekend?
